EGAN, DENISE L. - Northern RI Mortgage Banking Industry

EGAN, DENISE L. (CHABOT), 55, of Blue Mist Dr., Manville, died Friday, July 25, 2008 in Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. She was the wife of Dennis P. Egan whom she married on June 6, 1981.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Paul A. and Loraine M. (Jabotte) Chabot of Harrisville.

Denise's career spanned thirty five years in the Northern RI Mortgage Banking Industry, including Eastland Bank, Countrywide, and Travis Mortgage Companies. She was an active participant in the Northern RI Board of Realtors. Denise was also a member of the Edgewood Yacht Club, and the Foster Parent Society of Rhode Island. She was a graduate of Bryant College.

In addition to being survived by her husband and parents, she also leaves her son Stephen R.P. Egan and his wife Sara of Clinton, CT, her daughter Katherine L. Egan of Manville, two brothers, Donald Chabot of Woonsocket, and Jerry Chabot of Shrewsbury, MA, a sister, Sherrie Tessier of Manville, and grandsons Ryan and Jake Egan.

Her funeral will be Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 9:30 A.M. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Calling hours are Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the funeral home. KEVIN PROULX - Husband of Martha Lapierre, Residential Properties, Ltd., Cumberland Office & Brother-in-law of Meredyth Church, Armory Properties

PROULX, KEVIN R., 49, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Martha (Church) Lapierre-Proulx.

Born in Pawtucket and raised in So. Attleboro, he was a son of Patricia A. (Foucault) Proulx of So. Attleboro and Felix Proulx of Hanson, MA. Kevin was a pool specialist at Swimming Pool Specialists, Charlestown for the past 5 years. Kevin enjoyed fishing with his son and quahoging. He was a creative, warm and compassionate person and he loved his pets. Kevin was a gourmet cook; motorcycle enthusiast and NASCAR fan. He was very proud of his children, Julie and Kevin, they where the light of his life.

Besides his wife, mother and father he leaves his daughter, Julie P. (Proulx) Ostiguy, her husband Peter and their son, Cameron of No. Kingstown; his son, Kevin B. Proulx of Cranston; his siblings, Michael Proulx of Halifax, MA, Laura Thibodeau of Nashua, NH, Paul Proulx of Rehoboth, Felicia Brown of So. Attleboro, Russell Proulx of Huntington Beach, CA, Theresa Proulx of So. Attleboro and Adam Proulx of Whitman, MA; his aunt, Theresa Andresen of Naples, FL and many nieces and nephews.

MARIE RONDEAU - CENTURY 21 Rondeau Associates, Bristol

RONDEAU, MARIE (RUGGIERO), of Bristol, died peacefully Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at her home following a courageous 2 year fight with pancreatic cancer surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert O. Rondeau, her husband of 44 years-a love affair that began as high school sweethearts.

She was a lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Libera (Troiano) Ruggiero. Marie was the founder and owner of Select Financial Mortgage Corp. and Custom Title and Closing Services, Inc., both in Warren from 1993 till present.

She also was the co-owner with her husband Bob of Century 21 Rondeau Associates in Bristol. She was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, and Bryant University. Marie and Bob were the first husband and wife Co-Chief Marshals of the 1989 Bristol 4th of July Parade Celebration. She was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol where she and Bob were honored as Co-Chief Marshals of the 16th of July Feast Celebration in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in 1996 and she was a former member of the Senior Choir. Marie was one of the first women to join the Bristol Rotary Club where she served on several committees and as one of the most memorable and energetic club presidents.

Marie participated in many local fund raising activities in her community especially the Rogers Free Library, Linden Place and raising funds and awareness for a cure for pancreatic cancer. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the RI Food Bank. She is a member of the Squantum Association and the RI Country Club. Marie had taken nine trips to Nicaragua as a volunteer with medical teams with NEVOSH and provided numerous wheelchairs for the disabled in Central American Countries. Everyone who knew Marie was blessed. She was a gift from God who was called back to him. Memories of 'Re' always bring a smile. She was a kind, caring person who was a true 'giver' to others. A wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother who loved and enjoyed her family and who will be missed by all.

She is survived in addition to her husband, by four children; Anthony R. Rondeau and his wife Beth of Barrington, Robert O. Rondeau, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Leonard, MI, Christine Geremia and her husband Matthew of Bristol and David A. Rondeau and his wife Rosie of Jacksonville, FL., a sister, Priscilla L. Baron and her husband Adam of Bristol, sister-in-law, Pauline Woods and her husband Ernie of Barrington and twelve grandchildren, Alli and Kasey Geremia, Jillian Rondeau, Ali Rubin, Ben, Katie, Jimmy, Peter, Nick, Samantha, Melanie and Tommy Rondeau.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol. MICHAEL L. VERDI - Watermark Realty

VERDI, MICHAEL L., 52, of Randall Ave., Warwick, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the loving husband and best friend for 24 years of Janet (Bove) Verdi.

Mr. Verdi was the owner and operator of American Window Cleaning Company for the past 30 years, and was a Realtor with Water Mark Realty of Warwick.

Besides his wife, he was the loving and devoted father of his cherished daughter Rochelle Verdi of Warwick; dear son-in-law of Ralph and Evelyn (Golato) Bove of Warwick; and best friend and cousin, Al D'Andrea, of Cranston. He also leaves his loyal dog and friend Bella. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITIING HOURS Friday 4-8 p.m.

ANN HILL - Mother of Ann Galvin and grandmother of Kate Galvin of Homestead Properties, Narragansett.

HILL, ANN REGINA 'JEAN' (LANGWELL), 81, formerly of Seekonk and East Providence, died on Monday, February 25, 2008, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter in Cranston.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine Langwell.

Jean was the proud mother of Ann M. Galvin of Cranston and Susan E. Kane of Seekonk. She was the very loving grandmother of Kathryn E. Galvin and Michael P. Galvin of Cranston and Ryan H. Kane and Evan C. Kane of Seekonk. Former wife of Philip J. Hill of Cranston. She was the sister of the late Mary Veronica Hynes, Catherine McGuinness, and John Langwell. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy of the Visitation. Until her illness, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Seekonk, and St. Martha's Church, East Providence.

A gentle soul with an iron will, she endured many years of illness while maintaining her dignity and her matriarchal presence.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM from the PERRY/McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Martha's Church, Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours will be on Friday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean's memory to The Arthritis Foundation, 2348 Post Road, Suite 104, Warwick, RI 02886, would be deeply appreciated.

SAUL SPITZ - Spitz-Weiss Realtors

SPITZ, SAUL, 94, of Providence, a Realtor, died February 19, 2008. He was the husband of the late Jeanette L. (Shanbrun) Spitz.

Born in Cenna, Russia, a son of the late David and Ida (Epstein) Spitz, he had lived most of his life in Providence.

Mr. Spitz attended Brown University. He was the founder and president of Spitz-Weiss Realtors and was actively involved in the business until his death. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of The Gob Shops, and was the Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of Heritage Homes in Florida. Mr. Spitz was a member of the National and Rhode Island Associations of Realtors.

He was a member of Temple Emanu-El, Touro Fraternal Association, and the Redwood Lodge of the Masons.

He is survived by his daughter; Elaine Weiss and her husband Howard of Providence, his grandchildren; Jonathan and his wife Aleen, Margery and her husband Stephen, Scott and his wife Darlene, and Traci and her husband Mark, and his great-grandchildren; Marni, Nina, Jaclyn, Tyler, Leah and Rebecca. He was the father of the late Terry Renee Holland.

ALVIN E. PULLEY - Prudential Richard N. Fontaine Real Estate

Alvin E. Pulley, 89, formerly of Woonsocket died Monday, February 4, 2008 at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. Born March 22, 1918 he was the son of the late Alvin D. and Ida Pulley. He was a life long resident of Woonsocket. He is survived by a daughter, Carol Parris and her husband Robert; two grandchildren, Lori Parris and Robert Parris; two cousins, Salley Pulley and Alma Stokes and a nephew, Bradford Sims. He was the brother of the late Bertha Sims and Martha Pulley.

Alvin was an Army Veteran of WWII where he played in the Military Band during the war. He taught many area residents how to play musical instruments from his studio on Arnold Street and played in several bands. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Woonsocket for sixty years where he served as Past Deacon.

Alvin was a REALTOR at Prudential Richard N. Fontaine Real Estate in Woonsocket for many years retiring in 2001.

His service will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 10am in The First Baptist Church, Blackstone Street, Woonsocket RI. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Rathbun Street, Woonsocket. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Avenue, Woonsocket RI. Calling hours are one hour prior to service inside the Church from 9-10am.

 
DREW, HEATHER RE - Daughter of Nancy Drew of Keller Williams Realty, Cranston

DREW, HEATHER RE, 18, of Warwick and formerly of West Greenwich was tragically taken January 25, 2008.

Born in Warwick she was adaughter of Daniel E. Drew and Nancy Drew and stepdaughter of Steven D. Rafuse. She also leaves two sisters; Jessica Drew-Day and Beth-Lyn Hannah, a nephew Alex, a niece Bella, maternal grandparents Gus and Re Liapes, paternal grandfather Ray Drew, and was granddaughter of the late Rita Drew.

Heather attended Toll Gate and EWG. She was an extremely talented and gifted writer with a kindred free spirit who has loved others as deeply as she is loved.

KEITH MARTIN - Son of No. RI Board of REALTORS® Past President Robert Martin

Keith J. Martin 22, of Mendon Rd. died Sunday January 27, 2008, in Rhode Island Hospital, as a result of an automobile accident, that happened on Jan. 13, 2008 on Mendon Rd. in Woonsocket.

Born in Woonsocket, son of Robert L. and Denise (Beaudette) Martin. of Cumberland, and Yvette D. (Lussier) Martin, of Leland, North Carolina.

He was a 2007 graduate of Providence College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Theater. He worked as a waiter for Andrew's Bistro in Cumberland. He belong to several theater groups in the Providence area. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters, Karen Belcher, and her husband Scott of Woonsocket, Jeralyn Karaldsen and her husband Christopher of Waterbury Center, Vermont, and Bethany Clouart, of Annapolis, Maryland. Paternal grandmother, Doris Martin, and Maternal Grandparents Normand and Yvette Beaudette, of Cumberland, and four nieces.

ROBERT CARROLL, - Husband of Delores DiMeo Duffy, Residential Properties, Cranston

CARROLL, ROBERT J. (RET. LT., C.P.D.) 65, of Clarion St., Cranston died on Tuesday January 15, 2008 at R.I. Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Dolores DiMeo-Duffy.

He was born in Providence a son of the late Joseph and Mary ( Maynard ) Carroll. Mr. Carroll was employed by the Cranston Police Dept. for 24 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant.

He was a past president and member of the IBOP #301, very active with the CPDRA, an avid outdoorsman, very active in Cranston community affairs and activities and a communicant of St. Anns Church. Besides his wife he is survived by his children; Dianne Bertrand of Coventry, Kathleen Carroll of Warwick, Scott Carroll of Glocester and Soyna Carroll of Cranston. He was the father of the late Joseph A. Carroll II. He was the grandfather of Thomas and Rebecca Carroll and Nicole Bertrand. He was the brother of Jeanne Serpa of Narragansett, Nancy Carroll-Cole of Cranston and Juliana Carroll of Plainville, MA.
